The best thing about my job
I have the opportunity to travel internationally and to work with lots of different people. I like working on challenges and finding good solutions that are successful. What I like best is being together with young people – that keeps me fresh.
What my job is all about
My day begins with checking the incoming orders in my region. Then I take care of the sales teams that I am responsible for by region and country. I gather feedback and discuss with them what we can do to achieve our objectives. One of the most important tasks is the training of international sales reps and presenting and introducing new products. Another task of ours in international sales is to get eye care professionals on board as long-term sales partners.
And the most important thing about it
A great willingness to travel and dealing with people are the most important things in my job – to approach people, stay in contact with them, build up partnerships and nurture them. Above all, though, is love of the brand, the product and applicable knowledge of the product. You need a great deal of enthusiasm and indepth background knowledge in order to be able to sell quality products.
